Alaska Running!, December 20, 2009 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Icebug Women's Sisu Olx Trail Running Shoe (Apparel) I live on Kodiak Island where we have ice all the time! I recently started getting into running and didn't want to stop because of the ice -so in talking with another runner she suggested that I try this product! She also suggested to make sure I ordered one size bigger (which was suggested to her)! Wow---awesome! I've tried it almost every day on the ice and I have not had a problem! Even running down hills-which was a concern of mine didn't slow me down! Right from the get-go the shoe was comfortable--I've worn different socks (liners, wool, cotton) and haven't had a problem with them! It's pretty much an ice shoe that performs really well! I now suggest this shoe to my friends that want to go out but are afraid of falling! Have fun out there!
Not super warm, February 10, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Icebug Women's Sisu Olx Trail Running Shoe (Apparel) The tongue is paper thin and these are made more for just barely freezing temps I would think. The cleats are awesome. You feel them a little on the bottom of your foot but they seem fine for 4-5 mile runs. I ended up getting another warmer pair from Icebug for 20 degrees and colder. They are still not as warm as my New Balance winter running shoes but the cleats are way better.
